Cambodia Vovinam Federation is optimistic about Cambodia Vovinam Championship 2022 after discovering many talents from the event ahead of the 32nd South East Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia in 2023.
The Cambodia Vovinam Championship 2022 took place for 3 days from 17-19 September, with 82 male and female athletes taking part in the event.
Ou Ratana, the president of Cambodia Vovinam Federation said: “This year’s event is a main event for the athletes to train hard to develop themselves ahead of SEA Games 2023.”
Ministry of National Defense won the most medals from this recent national event with 15 medals including 9 golds, 2 silvers, and 4 bronzes, followed by Svay Rieng after winning 2 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze.
Ratana praised his athletes for their great achievements at the recent SEA Games in Vietnam after winning 14 medals including 3 golds, 2 silvers, and 9 bronzes.
Vovinam is one of the events at the Games that is expected to win many medals for the Kingdom as a host nation in the upcoming historic event.
The Federation is now even working harder to develop more talented athletes and youths to prepare for both national and international events.
