Gymnastics athletes’ technical aspects boosted by training in China

Noy Phanna, the Secretary General of the Cambodia Gymnastics Federation as well as the national team coach, reckoned a long-term training camp in China would boost the athletes’ performance and technical aspects.

Cambodia will host the 32nd South East Asian (SEA) Games in 2023 as it will be the first time for the Kingdom to host this historic event.

As a part of the SEA Games 2023 preparation, the Federation sent 10 athletes and 1 assistant coach in Artistic event to train in China on 15 September.

With this long-term training in China, Phanna expected that the athletes would be able to have high hope to win medals at the Games at home.

“We have sent our athletes for a long-term training in China, and it will surely be able to improve their performance and technical aspects,” said Phanna.

“We hope that our athletes will perform well at the South East Asian Games in Cambodia next year.”

Prior to the athletes’ departure to China for a long-term training camp, Phanna also delivered a message encouraging the national athletes to train hard and get experience of overseas training ahead of the Games at home.
