Cambodia national volleyball team will take on France U19 national volleyball team in an international friendly match in February.
This international friendly match is deployed to test the Cambodia national volleyball team ahead of South East Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia in May.
Aing Sereypiseth, the Secretary General of the Cambodia Volleyball Federation, said that the friendly match with France U19 will take place in Phnom Penh, with date to be confirmed later.
“We have tried to play strong teams to improve our national team’s performance,” said Sereypiseth.
“We have contacted the Federations of other countries in Asia, Southeast Asia and the world as we aim to push our national volleyball team to reach international levels and especially to prepare the team for SEA Games 2023.”
Cambodia is set to organize an international friendly event, with Singapore and Malaysia set to take part in the event.
Cambodia broke record in the SEA Games 2022 in Vietnam after defeating Thailand to clinch bronze medals.
The success at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam gave Cambodia a big boost to challenge for gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games at home.
