Sepak Takraw and Chinlon Federation of Cambodia is pushing hard their plan and training to win medals at the 32nd South East Asian (SEA) Games in 2023, when Cambodia is the host country.
Cheat Khemra, the Sepak Takraw and Chinlone coach, has targeted at least one gold medal for the Kingdom as the national players have a great commitment to win medals at their homeland.
“We know there are many teams joining the SEA Games, but most of them are at a similar level as us,” said Cheat Khemra.
“2X2 and 4X4 are the events we can expect to win something. At the SEA Games in Vietnam, we did well. We could strike and block well, too, but we need to improve our concentration. It would be great to improve it.”
Khemra said he was aware of what his players needed to improve, and he’s working hard to fix all the problems before the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The Federation has overseas training camps for the national Sepak Takraw and Chinlon players and will also schedule some friendly matches to improve their performance.
Sepak Takraw and Chinlon national team will head to Thailand for a training camp till November and come back to join the National Games in Cambodia.
They will also spend many months training in Myanmar from December 2022 to May 2023 for the SEA Games preparation.
